What it is
Our yearly publication weaves the art and voices of an emerging cultural paradigm. Marrying the artistic, political and spiritual world.
"Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing" — Arundhati Roy
When you subscribe to the Second Renaissance Magazine you become part of a living community working to birth a new cultural paradigm. One which explores how we might live and relate in a time of profound death, creation and rebirth.

"Every renaissance begins with a shift in how human beings understand themselves" — Jim Palmer
Our latest issue Mythos explores how myths shape what we call sacred and remember. It explores the tension in our inherited narratives and reveals how myths become vessels for our moral and psychological orientation and with that comes a quiet dissonance: between what happened, what we believe happened, and what we long to become. It is within this tension that myths take form.
With this issue Mythos becomes embodied through art, poetry shared around firelight rituals, stories told in film and spread through memes. Alive, they shape our way of being and, like a virus, contaminate us; they carry themselves forward through culture, image, and memory.
"Myth is not the opposite of truth. It is truth's oldest language."
